This is the path for families that have a child who has already celebrated First Reconciliation and First Eucharist. These are families who typically have a child in the third grade or higher (through grade 5), though not always! Your whole family (yes even younger and older children!) participates together in an at-church activity once a month. Between monthly at-church meetings, parents are asked to lead one or more faith-based activities at home. The materials we are using are called ROOT.
Families on this path will select one of three teams to join.
* Holy Hikers and Way Makers are ideal if you also have a child in grade 6, 7, or 8 as they will be intentionally included in these activities in place of their regular faith formation during the weeks when the family activities take place.
Saint Anthony of Padua Parish and Saint Mary of the Assumption Parish strive to be a community of families growing in faith together. We are at different places in our spiritual lives, but disciples are formed when we are on the journey together. We want to have adults and children learning about the same topic in their own way and help give parents language to share faith with their children. Faith formation is lifelong!
